BOARD ELECTIONS
Board Elections- as announced during the March community meeting, the board elections will take place during our next community meeting, April 17, 6:00 PM. Parents, community members, please consider sending in your nomination for a board position. As this is the annual election all board positions are open for election. It takes good leadership, teamwork and focus on priorities from community members to make our school an excellent place to learn and work. This is your child's school, this is your school, this is our school and the board elections provide anyone who is willing an excellent opportunity to contribute at a leadership level. Please feel free to talk to any of the board members to ask questions about board positions, responsibilities, meetings, etc. Some of us have served many years, others, like the board president Francis Spruit, just for a shorter period of time - regardless, being a board member is at times challenging but most of the time very rewarding. Please use the questionnaire if you want to run for one of the board positions and bring it by the school office by April 12. It is also possible to be nominated during the community meeting. Please let the board secretary, Tim Banuelos, or myself know if you decide to do so.
SAT Testing
11th graders should be taking the SAT this year. We have prep books available, please contact your student's homeroom teacher if you want to participate.
Here is the schedule for January through June 2012:
Jan 28 - register by Jan 13Mar 10 - register by Feb 10
May 5 - register by April 6
June 2 - register by May 8
